How many battery cells are in a Tesla, and how does that compare to an eBike?

Tesla vehicles are known for their impressive battery technology, typically containing thousands of individual battery cells. For example, the Model S uses around 8,000 cells, while the Model 3 has about 4,416 cells. These cells are arranged into large battery packs, providing the high energy density and long range that Tesla vehicles are famous for.

In contrast, eBikes have much smaller battery packs. A typical eBike battery might contain anywhere from 300 to 1,000 cells, depending on the size and capacity of the battery. These cells are usually arranged in a series of modules, with each module containing several individual cells. While the number of cells in an eBike battery is significantly fewer than in a Tesla, advancements in battery technology have allowed eBikes to achieve impressive ranges and performance with much smaller, lighter packs.
