Intracytoplasmic injection (ICSI) is often chosen as a fertility treatment in cases of male infertility, such as low sperm count or poor sperm motility. It's also used when previous IVF attempts have failed due to fertilization issues. Additionally, ICSI is recommended for couples with genetic concerns, where sperm needs to be directly injected into eggs to reduce the risk of passing on genetic abnormalities to offspring
