What are the major challenges faced by children in Mali when it comes to accessing education?

Access to education is a fundamental right for every child, laying the foundation for a brighter future. Limited Infrastructure:

One of the primary challenges in Mali is the lack of proper educational infrastructure. Many schools are inadequately equipped, lacking basic amenities such as classrooms, libraries, sanitation facilities, and safe drinking water. In rural areas, the situation is even more dire, with a significant shortage of schools, making it difficult for children to access education without undertaking long and often dangerous journeys.

Poverty and Financial Constraints:

Mali is one of the poorest countries globally, with a significant portion of the population living below the poverty line. High levels of poverty often lead to financial constraints that hinder families' ability to provide education for their children. Families struggle to cover the costs of school fees, uniforms, books, and other essential materials.
