What is an apron?

"Apron" is defined as a garment covering part of the front of the body and tied at the waistline, protecting the wearer's clothing. Apron comes from a French word for napkin or small tablecloth. Cotton was the most favored and frequently used material in making an apron but then recently there has been other materials being used to make aprons, such as the spun poly which is a much sturdy and more comfortable fabric.
